Investors with assets of 5 million dirhams (approximately 153 million yen; 1 dirham = approximately 30.6 yen) or more in the UAE will be issued a 5-year residence visa.
A 10-year residence visa is issued to investors who meet one of the following criteria: investment of 10 million dirhams or more through the establishment of companies, business partnerships, etc., or investment of 10 million dirhams or more in various sectors, with real estate investment accounting for less than 40% of that amount.
In both cases, the assets must be assets owned by the investor, not borrowed, with documentation to prove it, and held for at least three years.

Entrepreneurs who have a project in the UAE with a value of at least 500,000 dirhams or approved by a licensed incubator in the UAE will be issued a 5-year residency visa. They may also be upgraded to an investor visa if they meet the requirements.
